Kamryn's First Ponytail!

Kamryn's hair has really started to grow like crazy! A couple of weeks ago, I put the top half of her hair in a ponytail and she looked absolutely adorable! This past weekend, I thought I would try to put all of her hair up in a ponytail and it was actually long enough. She looked so cute and grown up at the same time!

She is getting too big!

Well.... Kamryn has started to carry a purse!!! I know that sounds crazy, but Kamryn has 4 purses now and always carries one with her! (sometimes all 4 at once! ha ha) I first thought that she was just copying me because I always have my purse, but I think she really gets the point of a purse. The first time we saw her carry her purse, we opened it up and there were toy french fries inside and we thought it was hilarious! After she showed us her purse, she turned around and walked back to her room.... but stopped half way to turn back around and say "Bye-Bye!" I really thought I was going to cry because she acted like she was really going somewhere with that purse. Anyways, I have only been able to take one picture of her carrying her purse, but there are many more to come!

Bath Time!

Bobby went to the store a couple of weeks ago and came back with bubble bath for Kamryn. She loves the bubbles! Every time she takes a bath, I put in the soap and she likes to grab the foam and eat the bubbles! Of course she doesn't eat enough to make her sick, but she loves to feel the bubbles on her face and it is adorable!

Mommy and Me Classes!

Kamryn and I have been going to Mommy and Me classes at Jump N Jungle with Emily and Kutter! The first time we went, Kamryn did not have much fun. I think that the huge blow up jumpers were a little scary for her and she really wasn't used to having that many kids run around everywhere. She would walk around a little and play with the huge soccer ball, but other that, she wanted to be held the entire time! Later that night, she ran a little fever, and I think she was just cutting more teeth.

I am so glad that I decided to give it another shot and take her back because she had so much fun the second time. She felt better and walked around quite a bit and would watch Kutter as he ran by. We decided to take them up the big slide just to see if they liked it.... and they did! As you can see from the picture, these slides are pretty tall and we had to carry them to the top! We went down the slide about 5 times and she had so much fun (and I got my workout!)
The last part of our time there was spent looking in the vending machines and playing with the arcade games. Kamryn and Kutter are really starting to get used to eachother! They have started to interact with eachother a little more and seem to recognize eachother now.Kamryn is sitting on a giant alligator in this picture. She had a lot of fun sitting there because every time a kid would walk by, it would move! She stayed in there for quite awhile, but then cried whenever a little boy bounced her off!

Playing Outside....

Look how long her hair is now!

Kamryn absolutely loves being outside. Anytime the weather is nice, we go outside to play because she enjoys it so much! She loves to go outside with Bobby while he works in the yard and likes to chase Eddie. He is so good with her and follows her around wherever she goes.

She loves sunglasses!

She is getting way too big!

She loves this popcorn thing (not exactly sure what it is called)
This keeps her entertained for a long time!

Kamryn and Eddie!

It's been so long!

Our computer has been broken for about a month and we finally got it back today! I am so excited because I have so many good pictures to post. I will have to play catch up today, so be prepared.... there is going to be quite a bit to read!

Play Date #2!

Today, Kamryn and I went out to Emily's house for another play date. This time we decided to see how Kutter would react to sharing his toys, and he did really well. Of course it took a couple of minutes for them to get used to eachother, but overall I think they did much better today. We are really trying to work on sharing because right now Kamryn does not have to share with anyone. She enjoyed playing with all the boy toys. Kamryn has always seemed to like cars, and even though she got a Barbie VW Beetle for Christmas, she still would rather play with the boy cars. Kamryn and Kutter were all over the place!

Kutter had a giraffe tent in his room and they loved sitting in it. Kamryn has a butterfly tent, but she doesn't really play in it much. I think she enjoyed his so much because she actually had someone to sit next to her in it.

Messy Face!

Kamryn loves when we eat spaghetti because she has so much fun playing in it! She is getting to that stage where she wants to do everything and so she would much rather feed herself. I decided to strip her down to her diaper because I didn't want to attempt getting tomato stains from her clothes.
Tuesday she went to the doctor for her 1 year checkup and immunizations. She couldn't get her shots any sooner because she developed RSV (a respiratory infection) right after her birthday. She weighed 21 pounds 3 ounces and measured 30 1/4 inches long! Many have joked that she will be taller than me soon, but I am really starting to fear that they may be right! Ha-ha
Dr. Pandya watched her walk and said that she was really healthy and was developing great! In fact, he said that she is talking really well for her age. (She must get the talking from me....) Unfortunately, she had to get 7 shots and had to have her blood drawn for some routine tests. She screamed and cried for what seemed like forever! I felt terrible and wanted to cry myself because I hated seeing her in pain. I guess the 5 minutes of pain is better than developing one of those horrible diseases, right? The bad part about the shots is that she always runs a fever for a couple of days afterward and this time she has developed a swollen red knot about the size of a golf ball on her leg where the shots were given. The doctor said it was just a side effect and that it will go away, but it sure looks bad! Needless to say, it is not slowing her down one bit and she seems to feel fine!

Kamryn Playing....

We had breakfast with my family last Sunday and Kamryn wore one of her new spring dresses. She looked so cute! Here she is playing with a Mr. Potato Head.

This is Eddie!

I know that we have talked about Eddie before, and he always seems to come up in conversation because he is such a goof ball! Eddie and Kamryn are great friends and he is really protective of her. Eddie was Kamryn's second word..... She said Eddie before she said Mama!!!! Everyone thought that it was hillarious that she said Eddie after Dada. I had to put a picture of Eddie up because he is a big part of our family. Even though he gets so annoying, he can always make you smile. Kamryn always wants to look out the door or window at Eddie and today I caught her standing on a chair in her room looking out the window at Eddie!! I was scared because I was worried she was going to fall through the window! She is getting too brave!

Why do they love boxes so much?

Bobby got something in the mail the other day and Kamryn was fascinated with the box! This box kept her occupied for well over an hour! Even though she had a room full of toys, all she wanted to play with was this plain old box.... Needless to say, she was not happy when I took it away!

Another day outside....

Kamryn is growing so fast! We were looking at her hair the other day and realized that it was probably long enough to go in a pony tail, so I thought I would just try. She didn't like me touching her hair so the rubber band only stayed in for a couple of minutes, but at least I had time to get a quick shot of it.... Look at that face! She is always so silly!
When we moved in to our new house, my parents bought us new living room funiture and we love it. When it gets cold, the fabric gets a bunch of static for some reason. Kamryn was sitting next to me this morning and her hair was standing up because of the static. I couldn't help but take a picture because she looked so cute with her hair sticking up all over the place.Today was another pretty day so we took Kamryn's princess car outside to let her ride it. She doesn't really care to make the car move because she loves getting on the car and then trying to get off. That's all she did... get on and then get off. I tried to push her and she would not have it!
She lost interest in the car very quickly. Next she wanted to try to climb up the steps. I was worried she would hurt herself so I just picked her up and put her on the porch myself. She walked around a second and then looked through the bottom window on the door. I thought this was funny because she always looks out the window and watches the school busses so she had a confused look on her face when she was looking in at things.

Kamryn is always screaming! I think she is going to be a great cheerleader!Look at all of her teeth! She already has 9 teeth and has a couple more trying to break through!

She is ready for a nap!

Playing Outside.....

While Bobby was at work on Saturday, Kamryn and I went outside because it was actually pretty for a change. We took her trike outside and she rode it for a second, but then got distracted by our dogs. They were barking so she walked to the fence and stared at it for what seemed like forever! She kept calling Eddie (our Boxer) through the fence but couldn't see him. My aunt Elizabeth lifted Kamryn to the top of the fence so she could look over at the dogs and she thought that was the neatest thing ever. Here are some pictures....

Kamryn's First Play Date!

I'm sure that most of you know Emily Houchin. I worked at Emily's cheerleading business here in Slaton for about 4 years. She and I were pregnant at the same time, and as weird as it was to us at first, it turned out to be wonderful because she was a great help during my pregnancy. Emily and her husband, Todd, had a little boy that they named Kutter. He is about 3 months older than Kamryn and neither of them ever play with kids their age. Emily and I decided that it would be good for Kamryn and Kutter to play together, so they came over to our house on Friday for a little play date. It took just a minute for them to get used to each other, and even though they are still learning how to share, they had a blast! It was hard to get a picture of them two together because they were always on the move, but I think this one is cute!Out of all the toys that Kamryn has, she was most interested in a toy piggy bank and puzzles.Kutter, on the other hand, loved playing with the big toys. He loved Kamryn's trike and her Disney Princess car.

Kamryn has a Bounce and Spin Zebra and Horse and Kutter really liked them. He could get them moving really good, but Kamryn's little legs are still trying to get the hang of it.

Kamryn is having fun on her zebra!Kutter didn't care that this car is pink and purple... he just kept saying "vroom vroom."He doesn't have a bounce and spin zebra... but I think he needs one! He loved it!This is one of the few times that we could get them to share a toy. They did really good!

After they played for a little while, they were really thirsty and took a quick drink break. Then it was time to go and Kutter gave Kamryn a kiss and they left. Next week we are going to go to Kutter's house to see how Kamryn does over there and to see how he feels about sharing his toys. They had a lot of fun, so you will be seeing many more postings about them!
